Allen Glover, born November 23, 1960, departed this life and entered eternal rest, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love, and service to his community.

He was the beloved son of Elder Mary Frances Johnson and Lindsey Walker. Allen received his education through the Dougherty County School System and graduated from Monroe High School, Class of 1979.

Throughout his life, Allen worked in many capacities, including DJ, security officer, taxi cab driver, cafeteria worker, and construction worker. He later retired from Turner Job Corps in Albany, Georgia. He was widely known in his community for his presence, his work ethic, and his ability to bring joy to those around him.

Allen will be remembered most for his sense of humor and his gift for making people laugh. He deeply loved his mother and cherished his family above all else.

He is preceded in death by his brothers Marvin Glover, Vincent Glover, Antonio Glover, and Marlon Glover, as well as his grandparents C. Glover Dora Belle Hobbs, and Evelina Walker Carter.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories his siblings Kavaskie (Venecia) Johnson, Nicollette Walker (Michael) Williams, Cedric F. Walker, and Terrell (Patricia) Burns; two step-children, Todd Jones and Ladedria Jones, along with a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, other relatives, and dear friends who will miss him dearly.

Allen Glover’s life was one of connection, laughter, and resilience. Though he is no longer physically present, his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
