Bobby Ray Coleman was born on May 16, 1955, in Worth County, Georgia, to the late Bermis Coleman and Dollie Lee Coleman.
He received his education through the Dougherty County School System. Bobby Ray worked at Bob's Candy in Albany, Georgia, and was well known for his dedication to both his work and his community. He served the citizens of Albany as a City Commissioner from 2014 to 2017, a role in which he demonstrated commitment to public service.
At an early age, Bobby Ray accepted Christ as his Lord and Saviour. He became a member of Bible Way Baptist Church, where his faith remained an important part of his life.
Bobby Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Bermis Coleman and Dollie Lee Coleman, and one sister, Martha Wingfield.
Bobby Ray leaves to cherish his memories: one brother: J.D. Green (Virginia) of Daytona, FL; four sisters: Bobbie Tullis, Zoe Ann Lake, Glenda Covin, and LaShonda Coleman, all of Albany, GA; two uncles: JW Evans (Chiquita), and Pastor W. J. Washington, Sr.; two aunts: Rosie Coleman and Mary Blakely; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
