Obituary

On Tuesday, July 7, 2026, God, in His infinite wisdom, gently called Mrs. Cynthia Anderson home to eternal rest at the age of 70. Surrounded by the comfort of home and the love of her family, she peacefully departed this earthly life to receive her heavenly reward.

Cynthia Anderson was born on July 23, 1955, in Albany, Georgia, to the late Victor Green and Isa Mae Lumpkin. From an early age, she was known for her kind heart, unwavering strength, and generous spirit. She was educated in the Dougherty County School System and furthered her education at Albany Technical College, preparing herself for a life of dedicated service.

Cynthia devoted many years of faithful employment to the Dougherty County School System, where she served as a Cafeteria Manager. She took tremendous pride in caring for others, ensuring every meal was prepared with excellence and love. Her work reflected the same nurturing spirit that defined her life.

To know Cynthia was to know someone who expressed love through food. She was an exceptional cook and baker whose kitchen became a gathering place for family, friends, and anyone in need of a warm meal. She never hesitated to feed others, and countless lives were touched by her generosity and delicious home-cooked meals. Of all the roles she cherished, being a grandmother brought her the greatest joy. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she treasured every moment spent creating memories with them.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter Anderson, as well as several siblings.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories her loving children: Joseph Daniels, JoNathan Daniels, Jonita Daniels-Coleman (Eldric), Jamillia Daniels (Jamar), and Janetta Daniels-Noel (David). She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Joseph Daniels, David Noel, Jayce Crapp, Amari Noel, Shelita Anderson, Leander Teemer, Joseph Moody, Sr., Frederick Thomas, Jr. (CaDaisha). She was additionally blessed with great-grandchildren: Bryton Anderson, Bryce Anderson, Nicolas Daniels, Joseph Daniels IV, Joseph Moody Jr., Nova Williams, Frederick Thomas III, Kaizen Moody and the Teemer's family, who all brought immense joy to her life.

She is also survived by her loving sisters, Sharlene Green and Vickie Green; a host of devoted nieces, nephews, extended family members, lifelong friends, and all whose lives were enriched by her kindness and compassion.

Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we rejoice knowing that Cynthia's legacy of love, generosity, faith, and family will continue to live on in all who knew her. Her smile, warm embrace, delicious meals, and selfless spirit will never be forgotten. Well done, thy good and faithful servant. Rest peacefully until we meet again.
