As we humbly submit to God’s sovereign will, we give thanks for the life of our beloved Dontiea Fernandous Williams, whose earthly journey began on March 3, 1982, in Albany, Georgia. He was the cherished son of Sis. Tonya Williams and Shenandoah Swan.
Dontiea was educated in the Dougherty County Public School System. At the age of seven, he developed a love for sports by participating in little league football. He also enjoyed playing football and basketball with neighborhood friends, and his passion for outdoor sports remained with him throughout his life.
At an early age, Dontiea accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, establishing a foundation of faith that remained an important part of his life.
Known for his strong work ethic and generous spirit, Dontiea was a hardworking man with a heart of gold. He approached every endeavor with determination, always putting his best foot forward. One of his greatest joys was helping others, especially by feeding and assisting those in need.
His kindness and compassion touched the lives of many.
Above all, Dontiea treasured his family. He embraced the role of protector and provider, always striving to be the hero his loved ones could depend on. His unwavering love, strength, and selflessness will forever be remembered by those who knew him.
On July 28, 2026, Dontiea entered into eternal rest, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, generosity, and devotion to family.
His precious memories will forever be cherished by his wife, Yashica Ford; his children, Tyon Whitaker, Donkeria Ford, Dontiea Ford, Dontavious Ford, and Donterrious Ford; parents, Sis. Tonya Williams and Shenandoah Swan; four sisters, Shaquandra (Jesse) McKenzie of Fort Valley, Georgia, and Traci Lyons, Staci Lyons , and Angela Alexander, all of Albany, Georgia; his grandparents Dec. Perry Williams Sr. and Sis. Annie Williams and Ms. Alberta Swan, all of Albany, GA; his godsister, Faye Wester; five beloved grandchildren; one niece; four nephews; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish.
