Hamilton
Nov 4, 1963 — Jul 3, 2026
Albany
DOUGLAS HAMILTON was born on November 4, 1963, in Albany, Georgia, with a twin brother, the late Donald Hamilton, to their parents, the late Willie and Ida Mae Adams Hamilton.
Douglas received his early childhood education in the Dougherty County School System, graduating from Westover High School, Class of 1982, but at heart he was a proud Monroe Golden Tornado.
Douglas gave his life to Christ at an early age, and he then became member of New Macedonia Baptist Church. In 2018, he became a member of First Monumental Faith Ministries under the leadership of the late Roosevelt Carter.
Douglas was a hardworking man and had a heart for people. He worked for over 28 years for Crisis Stabilization Center, now known as Aspire.
On June 19, 1992, Douglas was united in marriage to the love of his life, Annie Brown Hamilton. They have been married for 34 years. With that union came a beautiful daughter, Kayano Hamilton. Douglas raised Brandon Brown as his own son from the early age of one.
Win or lose, Douglas was a very big fan of the Pittsburg Steelers and an awesome spades player. He enjoyed fellowship with family and friends.
Along with his parents and twin brother, Douglas was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters, Henry (Elizabeth) Adams, Alan Adams, Leroy Williams, Connie (Emmitt) Battle, and Jean Hamilton (Larry) Bradwell; two brothers-in-law, Roy Brown and Charlie Brown; and mother and father-in-law, Charlie and Marie Brown.
On July 3, 2026, at 8:42 AM, Douglas answered the Master’s call to eternal peace and rest.
Loving memories will forever be cherished by his beloved wife, Annie B. Hamilton; daughters, Kayano Hamilton, Destiny Fowler, Lakesha Weston, Santianna White, Eugenia White, and Quantoria White; one son, Brandon Brown; 14 grandchildren and one great- grandchild; sisters, Kay Adams, Brenda Hamilton, and Alice Lamar; brothers, Arthur Adams and Lorenzo Adams; four sisters- in-law, Barbara Threadcraft, Ann Jackson, Nina Reid, and Doris Hardwick; three brother-in-laws, Walter Brown, Melvin Brown, and Lee Threadcraft; and two very special nephews, Yukius “Black Jack” Adams and James Kithara Brown.
Lasting memories will also be cherished by a host of other nieces, nephews, extended family, cousins, and friends, all who will forever love him.
