Mrs. Eva Jean Jackson Parker was born on May 18, 1952, in Baker County, Georgia, to the late Zello “Bay” Jackson and Louise Grant Jackson. She was educated in the public school system of Baker County, Georgia. Jean, as she was affectionally known, accepted Christ at an early age when she joined St. Matthew Baptist Church in Newton, Georgia. Her final church affiliation was New Testament Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia.

Jean worked a variety of jobs throughout her life, but she spent most of her career in the dry-cleaning industry in Albany. She was a Dry-Cleaning Press Operator at Swan Laundry and Dry Cleaners, where she worked until her retirement in 2014. Her years of dependable service reflected the pride she took in her work and the respect she earned from those who knew her.

Jean was once married to the late Jacob Howard “Larry” Parker and to this union four boys were born.

On July 23, 2026, Jean peacefully transitioned from this life at Willson Hospice House in Albany, Georgia. She was preceded in death by one son: Brian Ja’Done Parker and six siblings: Gloria Jean “Jenny” Jackson, T. W. Grant, Johnny Lee “Brother” Jackson, Mac Arthur Jackson, Ruby Mae Hammonds, and John W. Jackson, Sr.

Jean leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends. She found great joy in spending time with those she loved, whether gathering with family and friends, playing cards, or entertaining everyone with her warm personality and sense of humor. Her laughter, loving spirit, and genuine enjoyment of life's simple moments will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Those left to cherish her memories and mourn her passing are three sons and daughters-in-law: Kenneth (Carla) Parker of Albany, GA, Julian (Santanna Johnson) Parker of Panama City, FL, and Thadeus (Abril Mitchell) Parker of Seattle, WA; one daughter: Empris Parker of Albany, GA; a granddaughter who she reared as her daughter: Santizzia Mosley of College Park, GA; two brothers: Jimmie L. Jackson of Clinton, MD and John Henry Jackson (Nora) of Suitland, MD; one sister: Betty Jean Jackson of Elmodel, GA; seventeen grandchildren: Kaleb, Kaitlyn, Ahmad, Ahmari, Ke’Ilah, Kierra, and Ke’Ontay; four great grandchildren: Jade, Jaden, Kaiheir, and Brielle; sister-in-law: Ruth Jackson of Albany, GA; bonus daughters: Makayla Mackeroy, Carlitriace Mullins, and Tamara Parker, all of Albany, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
