Mr. Jimmy Roberts Jr. was born on October 9, 1931, in Lee County, Georgia. He was the son of the late Mr. Jimmy Roberts, Sr. and Mrs. Willie Lou Raymond Roberts.

He received formal education in the Lee County School System.

Jimmy was a hard worker and took pride in any type of work he did. In his earlier years Jimmy enjoyed commercial truck driving and later retired with the Dougherty County School System.

In November of 1996, Jimmy was united in holy matrimony to the late Shirley Crawford Roberts. Together, they shared a blended family of love.

He was preceded in death by his wife; Shirley Roberts, his parents, Jimmy Roberts, Sr. and Willie Lou Roberts, one son; Bobbie Lee Roberts, and siblings; Flora Bell Laney, Jimmy Lee Johnson, Willie Frank Johnson, and Johnny B. Johnson.

Precious memories of Jimmy will forever be cherished by; his daughter, Angela Roberts, his bonus children; Pernerdia Rivers (Carlton), Michael Johnson, and Betty Jean Bailey Carter; one sister-in-law, Barbara Forston; one brother- in- law, Andrew Crawford; grandchildren; Jasmen (Troy) Macdonald, Jemuir Rivers, Autanzia Micole Johnson (Frederick), Tonjia McCory, Wontonia Jermaine Hall (Chaka), Stephanie Carter, LaShunda Carter, twenty great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
