Johnnie Washington Jr. was born to the late Emma Lee Fulgeon Washington and Johnnie Louis Washington Sr. on March 29, 1963. He was known for his kind spirit, warm smile, and generous heart. He was truly a gentle soul who treated everyone with respect and love. His calm demeanor and caring words left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
At an early age, he gave his life to Christ and joined Bethel AME Church of Albany, Georgia, where his foundation of faith began. His relationship with God remained a quiet yet steady presence throughout his life. He received his education through the Dougherty County School System and later graduated from Monroe Comprehensive High School in 1981. His upbringing, faith, and education helped shape the thoughtful, humble, and determined man so many came to admire.
Outside of being a devoted husband to his “Queen,” Ravien Washington, and a proud father to his daughter, Kadesah Jess, he had a natural curiosity and an immense love for technology. Whether he was building computers, troubleshooting gadgets, or exploring new digital trends, he was happiest when surrounded by technology. His friends and family lovingly called him the “Tech Guru,” always ready to lend a helping hand whenever someone needed help with a computer or device. There never was a gadget that he couldn’t figure out.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emma Lee Fulgeon Washington and father Johnnie Washington Sr.
He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted and loving wife, Ravien Washington of Albany, Georgia; his daughter, Kadesah Jess ( Daddy’s Baby) of Albany, Georgia;one brother, Larry Washington of Hondo, Texas; three aunts, Anna Raye Washington of Attapulgus, Georgia., Peggy Washington of Jersey City, New Jersey and Rebecca Fulgeon of Miami Florida; his mother-in-law, Gloria (Delroy) Singleton of Albany, Georgia; a sister-in-law, Lakiesa (Robbie) Motley of Savannah, Georgia; brother-in-law, Travis Singleton of Albany, Georgia; four Godchildren, Baseema Curry, Kamaiya Cuff (“Godfather’s baby”), Jibreel Curry, and Koen Emerson of Albany, Georgia; two sister/cousins, Cheryl Davis (Leod) of Tallahassee, Florida and Toccaria McNair of Alabama; one God-sister, Regina Ellis (Patrick) of Albany, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Mr. Washington’s presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of kindness and love will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him.
