Her family later moved to Albany, Georgia where she received her primary education in the Dougherty County School System. Very early in life, at the age of 19, Kathy began her journey with the Lord. While living in Alaska, she gave her life to Christ and remained steadfast and prayerful in her daily walk.
On June 7, 1999, Kathy was united in holy matrimony with the love of her life, Rickey Coleman, Sr. For 26 years, she was a devoted and steadfast wife, serving as a source of strength, love, and support for her husband and family. Kathy's kindness, loyalty, and dedication were evident in every aspect of her life. She carried these qualities not only into her home but also into her career at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, where she faithfully served in Environmental Services for 20 years.
Above all, she was an Ambassador for Christ whose life reflected unwavering faith, love and compassion. A true prayer warrior, she faithfully uplifted others through prayer, encouragement, and Godly wisdom. Her commitment to Christ and ministry touched countless lives and left a lasting impact on everyone she encountered. Kathy was a dedicated member of Litman Cathedral HOGSIC, where she served as a Minister, Prayer Intercessor, & the Coordinator of the Outreach Ministry.
She was a loving mother and a cherished grandmother who valued her family above all else. She poured her heart into nurturing and supporting those she loved, creating a legacy of faith, strength, and unconditional love. Her life was a beautiful example of service, grace, and passion to both her family and her ministry. Her memory will continue to inspire all that knew her.
On June 6, 2026, Kathy transitioned from this earthly life to eternal rest and peace. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers: John “June” Holley, John “Shorty” Holley, Dale Holley and Will Carl Riggins; two special cousins, Louise Branch and Reginal Penn; and her in-laws, Charlie and Ruby Lee Coleman.
